Trees really cover a multitude of sins, if you have a place in your painting that’s not so great, put a tree over it, that’s an easy way to cover it up. I said that in class one time and a lady said ‘well I’m gonna have nothing but a Forrest in my picture’

Fun Facts about Bob Ross

Maybe a few people have picked up on this, but Ross had most of his index finger on his left hand cut off while working with his father when he was young. 

Next time you watch an episode, when the camera pans to his pallet while he is mixing paint, look at the hand he’s using to hold the pallet. 

Steve Ross is a guest painter on the 11th episode of season 31 (final season) of the Joy of Painting.  Steve was a guest painter on various episodes through the years, he is a great painter, and was asked to replace his father after his death, but refused.
